Spirited Followers and Sweet Swanee Pong

Spirited Followers from Cardiff combine elements of Western Folk, Indian Classical, Greek, Post-Rock and Avant-Garde music. With an instrumental line up of Harmonium, Dulcimer, Bouzouki, Oud, Cello, Synth, Tape Manipulation and Drums, their goal is to show how non-western music can lead itself to experimentation - keeping the unique characteristics from the music of our respective cultures, while exploring ways in which the norms of traditional music can be challenged.

"Sweet Swanee Pong" is an interactive video and audience performance devised by Lyndon Owen, inspired by the original 1972 arcade game "Pong", bringing together elements of video, musical scores, swanee whistles, confectionary, and enjoyable stupidity.

All NAWR Aberystwyth events are free, but a voluntary donations are requested.
