Peiriant (Welsh, meaning ‘engine’ or ‘machine’) are an experimental duo based in Mid Wales, consisting of Rose and Dan Linn-Pearl. They perform with electric guitar, violin and found objects. Peiriant engage in moods of minimalism, drone, post-rock, soundscape and spoken word. Their semi-improvised compositions create compelling and somatic audio environments, characterised by a push/pull tonal relationship created between the two instruments.

Rose and Dan Linn-Pearl are founding members of Wales-based concert series nawr alongside Rhodri Davies, Ioan Humphreys, Jenn Kirby and Daryl Feehely. They curate the Hay NAWR experimental music events at Globe at Hay in one-of-a-kind border town Hay-on-Wye. Their self-released eponymously titled debut album was released through bandcamp.

‘Welsh- born duo Peiriant’s self-titled LP sculpts startling instrumentals from the bones of folk music, guitar delays and deep drones.’ Jude Rogers - The Guardian.
